Child Find
Child Find is a component of the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) that requires states to identify, locate, and evaluate all children with disabilities who are in need of early intervention or special education services. To receive Early Intervention Programming or Special Education, children must meet eligibility guidelines according to the IDEA. If you suspect you have a child who may have a disability affecting them, please notify your child’s teacher (if they are in school), counselor(if they are in school), principal (if they are in school), or the special services office at 810-591-8302.

Early On® Genesee County provides free early intervention services for infants and toddlers, birth to three years of age, with developmental delay(s) and/or disabilities. Early On® Genesee County also supports parents and families so that they can address the unique needs of their eligible infants and toddlers and enhance their health, development, and learning.
